Bratislava, 29 December 2021 – With effect as of 1 January 2022 Decree of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic No. 524/2021 Coll. is introducing a new list of specified sections of motorways, 1st category and 2nd category roads subject to toll collection. |
As of 1 January 2022 the Decree modifies the network of specified road sections on the D1, D2 and D4 motorways. On the D1 motorway, 1 specified road section of Prešov south bypass will be added. The 10 already existing specified road sections of D1 motorway will be modified.
The network of specified road sections will also be expanded by 3 sections of the completed D4/R7 project near Bratislava between Jarovce and Rača on the D4 motorway. On the outer bypass of Bratislava, 1 specified road section will be modified. The 2 existing sections of Bratislava bypass, D1 and D2, will be included in the network of specified road sections again from 1 January 2022, and from 1 March of next year they will also be subject to toll payment. This is the section of Lamač-Pečňa on D2 motorway and the adjoining section of Pečňa-Prístavný most on D1 motorway.
The Decree changes the categorisation of the 2 sections of D1 motorway and from 1 January 2022 they will become specified sections of 1st category roads. This change of category concerns the motorway slips to Žilina and Trenčín.
By connecting D1 motorway and Senecká cesta, 1 new specified road section of 2nd category will be created. Other 4 sections will be modified; the name of their intersection with the new specified road section will change.
As of 1 January 2022 a total of 9 specified road sections will be added and 15 specified road sections will be modified. The validity ends in case of 3 specified road sections.
After all the modifications, including those that do not affect the amount of toll payment (toll sections charged with zero-rate), the number of specified road sections will increase from 1 992 to 1 998. The length of the network of specified road sections will be extended by 32 km to 8,231 km.
